I'm going to major in Marketing and I also choose marketing strategy for hotel as a topic for my term paper. For today blog, I will summaries the article call" Expedia partners for expansion in Latin America" The reason that I choose to read and summaries this article is because I can use some of the information in this article to support my term paper.
According to the article, Expedia, one of the biggest online agents which contain more than 75 million users has corporate with Hotel.com which becoming well known in Latin America. Hotel.com operates in 76 local country sites throughout North and South America, Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific. Moreover, this site has offered more than 120,000 quality hotels, B&Bs and self catering options around the world. These two companies are looking for the expansion in Latin America; the aim of the expansion is to enter a strategic to foster the development and growth of tourism and online booking in Latin America. The two corporations have won an award together.
In my view, this expansion is going to provide a lot of benefits to hotels, also to Marketing performance. For examples, got a wider range of customers, more effective way for advertising which lead hotels gain more revenue, become successful and have more opportunity to become a brand loyalty. This article is talking about the expansion of the online agent, so some of the information could be useful for my term paper. Knowing the development of a target market could be very useful and easier for hotels to write the marketing plan. Therefore, I'm going to attempt some of this useful information to my term paper. I expected to know more about what is a current travelling trend in Latin America, this information could be more effective for writing a marketing plan.
